Cabin Mountain Living Center

Cabin Mountain Living Center is established to provide opportunities for young men and women with neuro-developmental challenges and disorders to achieve the highest levels of self-sufficiency possible; based on their individual capabilities. The living environment is a safe and structured community setting where residents receive support and guidance from mentors, life coaches, and other staff members on a daily basis.

Cabin Mountain provides gender specific housing with some dorm style bedrooms being singles and some being doubles in the main house. There are several large common spaces where residents work on crafts, art projects, academic pursuits, cook together as a family, play games, and develop social skills. There are two, two-bedroom apartments attached to the main living center, with our support center in between the living areas.

Our Cabin Mountain clients are able to work at The Breakfast Nook, and may also work in community jobs. Clients are immersed in the community by volunteering and participating in civic activities. They are invited to all Applewood and Journey groups and activities to promote social interaction with peers. We strive to help our Cabin Mountain clients to achieve their individual highest levels of independence and quality of life while maintaining personal safety. The program utilizes the beautiful environment of Tucker County to provide an array of outdoor activities and challenges.
